The Galanna brand is a part of myself that I have always dreamed of sharing with world. Galanna is Ukrainian brand founded in the late summer of 2021. My dear husband supports me in my endeavor, inspires and sets high horizons, thank him for his support. My two sons 11 and 18 – are my constant helpers! I am Anna Galaiko, I am Ukrainian and I love my family above all. Since childhood, my mother shared and teach me the love of beauty. My handmade Scarves convey certain stages of my life and my family, picture emotions and desires of myself.
On February 24, my whole life turned upside down. Each family fell asleep with their thoughts and plans for the next day. However, we did not wake up from an alarm clock or birds chirping, but from explosions nearby. For a long time I could not comprehend the reality of events, it was a nightmare from which I wanted to wake up sooner. Fear of family and children was at the forefront, and it was very difficult to approach the issue with a cool mind. However, we quickly packed 4 suitcases and were ready to leave Kyiv, the city we all used to live. Eternally buzzing sirens, constant explosions, and instant news of an enemy offensive forced quick decisions to be made about moving children to safe areas. My two sons and the dog started looking for a temporary quiet and safe home.
Thank to God, life gave us the chance – kind and open-harded people shared the helping hand as well as their apartment for our family safe living in Slovenia. Nowadays I continue to develop my brand here.

The idea of making scarves myself came to me shortly before the war. However, the feeling of patriotism and the desire to support my homeland while in Slovenia motivated me to immerse myself in my work and share with people my vision, style and ideas.
Being without a husband (who has been left staying in Ukraine because of war), with my children and a dog in a completely unknown country and in a very terrible situation, at first the fear prevails. However, with the understanding of the need to move on, and seeng all that natural sulport from our foreing friends and mentors we continue to meet – all the fears that have been deep inside me were shut,
while open new doors of opportunities, new ambitions appear to realize in future instead.
Wool allows me to express myself. I constantly looking for new materials and techniques and always tell other people about the possibilities of wool, its natural properties and durability. I really appreciate materials that can last a long time. And the felting process further emphasizes the high quality of natural material.
Galanna scarves prove that everyone can look stylish. Appearance and personal style is not a talent, it is a language in which you tell an autobiography to the whole world, everyone can understand and transmit this language further.
